Turnthataround was created by environmental scientist Tino Heimhuber with a simple goal:

“To help bring the world back on track towards a healthy and livable planet for generations to come.”

To achieve this, we focus on providing  science-based educational content – the ultimate super fuel for turbo-charging positive change. In other words, we want to provide extreme clarity around the global climate and biodiversity crisis and how we can turn things around before it’s too late.

Dr. Valentin (Tino) Heimhuber
Creator

Dr. Valentin (Tino) Heimhuber is the creator of Turnthataround and the main driver behind the project. He has a Master’s Degree in environmental engineering and a PhD in environmental science. Tino is a passionate scientist, thought leader and science communicator. His current research uses satellites and data science to study the impacts of climate change on water resources as well as the potential of ecosystem restoration as a means for mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss. He has published more than 10 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has won several science communication awards in the past. Tino has a strong personal agenda for driving positive change and he believes that science is the key to manage our planet’s limited resources for the maximum common good.
